Making Your Own Dog Food

By making and cooking dog meals, you can keep your dog in good physical condition. The dishes are straightforward, simple to prepare, and less expensive than store-bought food. How can you “create your own dog food” in your kitchen? We’ll see.

I never saw myself as one of those dog owners that prepares human meals for their pets. In a million years, no way.

When Butters became ill with an upset stomach lately, our veterinarian suggested us to give him a bland diet of chicken and rice with no flavor. So we poached a chicken, shredded it in a food processor, combined it with some white rice, and gave him this bland diet for three days.

After you’ve finished your batch, divide it into single portions, date it, and freeze it. When ready to serve, thaw it overnight in the refrigerator and nuke it for 15-30 seconds. That concludes our discussion. Who knew it could be so simple to make dog food?
